New homes available through choice based letting
South Dublin County Council recently announced a selection of properties available through their Choice Based Letting (CBL) scheme, commencing from 14 August 2026. This initiative provides an opportunity for applicants to express interest in various homes across Lucan and Rathfarnham, with offers being made to successful candidates in due course.

Applicants should note that accepting accommodation offers is crucial, as refusal of two offers within a 12-month period results in suspension from the housing list effective from the date of the second refusal. Due to the large number of properties in process, the council has requested that applicants avoid contacting the Allocations team for updates.

Among the advertised properties are one- to four-bedroom apartments and houses, including new builds in Adamstown Park and Stratton Row, Lucan. All homes come with parking facilities and adhere to the Oakee Housing guidelines regarding pet policies. Locations covered include 90 and 88 Adamstown Park, 5 Stratton Row, and 38 and 17 Tandy's Place in Lucan, alongside a one-bedroom apartment in Rathfarnham at 14 Bodendale.
