The event, hosted by Aurivo Marts, showcased the finest hill-sheep stock from over 400 member farmers, drawing buyers from as far afield as Kerry and Louth. Hoggets stole the show early, with Jacqueline Prendergast, Letterineen, Tourmaceady, securing the top price of €405 for her Lanark-type sheep. The minimum price of €165 and an impressive average of €230 reflected strong demand, while a 94% clearance rate underscored the quality on offer. Mature ewes followed, with Thomas McGlynn, Sandhill, Newport, achieving €300 for his Mayo-bred stock, alongside a minimum price of €110 and an average of €172.
