Due to the EU Heads of State visit on Tuesday 10 November 2026, several Dublin bus routes will experience diversions to accommodate security and logistical arrangements.
Route 32x heading towards UCD Belfield will divert via Merrion Square North and Fitzwilliam Street before rejoining its normal path, while the Malahide-bound service remains unchanged. Routes 33x and 41x will avoid the Port Tunnel, instead travelling through Drumcondra and Swords Road, with the 33x evening service departing from George’s Quay stop 1502.
Route 60 buses bound for John Rogerson's Quay will divert via Beresford Place and Moss Street, terminating at Moss Street stop 7733, with return journeys rerouted through Shaw Street and Burgh Quay. Route 142 and 151 services will also bypass the Port Tunnel and follow alternative city centre routes. Additionally, G1, G2, X1, and X2 routes will have adjusted stops and detours through central Dublin streets to accommodate the visit schedules and ensure smooth transit operations.
