London to host 2027 Swimming World Cup finale
Aquatics GB has successfully secured London as the host city for the concluding round of the 2027 World Aquatics Swimming World Cup, scheduled for 29 to 31 October at the London Aquatics Centre within Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. This marks the first time since the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games that such a prestigious global swimming competition will be held in Great Britain.

The 2027 World Cup circuit will kick off in Berlin from 15 to 17 October, followed by Paris from 22 to 24 October, returning the competition to Europe after its absence since 2023. These three renowned Olympic host cities will showcase the world’s fastest swimmers battling for glory and substantial prize money.

Notably, the 2027 edition offers direct qualification opportunities for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, featuring six 50m events newly added to the Olympic programme: men's and women's 50m Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Backstroke. Key officials including World Aquatics President Husain Al Musallam and Aquatics GB Chair Karen Webb Moss have praised the event’s significance, while UK Sport and the Greater London Authority have been instrumental partners in bringing this world-class sporting spectacle back to London.
