The Irish camogie and hurling panels have been confirmed for the 2026 Shinty-Hurling/Camogie Internationals scheduled for this Saturday at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
The camogie team, managed by Ger Manley, will take on Scotland at 4pm, followed by the hurling side, led by Eamon O'Shea, facing Scotland at 6pm. Cork’s Ashling Thompson and Kilkenny’s Mikey Butler will captain their respective teams.
The hurling squad blends experienced Liam MacCarthy Cup players with standout performers from the Joe McDonagh, Christy Ring, Nickey Rackard, and Lory Meagher Cups. Supporters will have the chance to honour Seamus Harnedy of Cork, who recently retired after a 15-year inter-county career. Other notable players include Cian O’Sullivan (Dublin), Andrew Ormonde (Tipperary), Pearse Óg McCrickard (Down), Darragh Neary (Galway), Aaron Dunphy (Laois), and Luca McCusker (Fermanagh). Antrim’s Gerard Walsh, the sole returning player from last year’s victory over Scotland, will anchor a defence featuring Mikey Butler, Ian Shanahan (Laois), Patrick Turner (Derry), and Joe Murray (Leitrim).
