A new chapter in Clare hurling history is set to be written after Inagh-Kilnamona and Kilmaley emerged victorious in their respective semi-final encounters. Inagh-Kilnamona produced a commanding display to dethrone the reigning champions, Éire Óg, with a 1-24 to 2-14 win. Aidan McCarthy was the architect of the victory, contributing 13 points in a masterclass performance that propelled his side into their first final since 2021, seeking a first title in over a century.
Kilmaley, meanwhile, showcased their own championship credentials with a clinical 0-25 to 1-11 victory over Scariff. After enduring several near misses in recent years, Tom O'Rourke’s precision from placed balls and a resolute defensive effort anchored by Conor Cleary ensured a comfortable passage to the decider. Despite an early goal from Scariff’s Rory Ryan, Kilmaley remained composed, pulling away in the final stages with a devastating scoring burst to confirm their place in the final.
The stage is now set for a novel derby final at Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chiosóg in Ennis on Sunday week. Both clubs are hungry for glory, with the winner guaranteed to etch their name into the history books. Supporters are encouraged to keep an eye on the official Clare GAA website for ticketing information and fixture updates as the countdown to this historic showdown begins.
