Cork prepares for historic international hurling and shinty showdown
The much-anticipated 2026 Shinty-Hurling and Camogie Internationals are confirmed for Saturday, 24th October, with the action unfolding at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork. Following last year’s successful fixtures in Inverness, Ireland will now play host to our Scottish counterparts in a thrilling display of traditional small-ball expertise.

Managers Eamon O’Shea and Ger Manley are currently finalising their preparations, with rigorous trials and training sessions scheduled over the coming weeks to select the 19-player squads. These elite athletes are eager to demonstrate their skill in the compromised rules format, representing their country with the pride and intensity that defines our national games.

Uachtarán CLG Jarlath Burns and Uachtarán an Chumainn Camógaíochta Brian Molloy have both expressed their enthusiasm for the festival of sport, highlighting the unique cultural bond shared with Scotland. Supporters are encouraged to secure their attendance for this landmark occasion, with full ticketing information now available on the official GAA website.
