Minister of State for Migration Colm Brophy announced up to €2 million in financial support for initiatives designed to improve the English language proficiency of migrants across the country. The investment is being delivered through the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2021-2027 National Programme, which receives joint financial backing from the European Union and the Government of Ireland.
Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Minister Brophy emphasised that effective communication within the host society remains fundamental to achieving successful integration. Organisations from the public, private, and voluntary sectors are invited to submit proposals for projects requiring a minimum budget of €400,000, with grants covering up to 75% of costs. Interested groups can access application forms and guidance documents on the official website, with completed submissions due by 12pm noon on Friday 30 October 2026.
