Cavan County Council has unveiled a fresh tranche of social housing options for October’s Choice Based Lettings programme. The closing date for expressions of interest is set for 5pm on Thursday, 15 October 2026, giving applicants just under a fortnight to prepare their submissions. Each expression must clearly include the applicant’s name and Housing Application ID Number to be eligible.
Three two-storey semi-detached homes in Belturbet are now available at 39 Kilconny and 3 Fairgreen, each offering three bedrooms, a separate living room, and a kitchen downstairs with a bathroom upstairs. Heating is provided by oil and solid fuel systems. A two-bedroom semi-detached property at 25 Seangharrai in Ballinagh also features similar layouts, with oil and solid fuel heating throughout.
Phase 2 of the River Park development in Swellan, Cavan Town, will also open to applicants this month. Respond Housing Association is providing a mix of three-bedroom semi-detached and two-bedroom terraced homes, all with rear gardens and air-to-water heating systems. Full details and application guidance are available on the council’s official website.
