Wicklow County Council has announced a series of roadworks and temporary closures affecting various locations throughout the county. These include essential maintenance on the N11/M11 and resurfacing on Millands Road in Coolafancy, Carnew, which took place in early September. Traffic management measures, including diversions and local access provisions, were implemented to minimise inconvenience during these periods.
Significant infrastructure enhancements are ongoing, with Uisce Éireann upgrading wastewater systems along the R750 from Bollarney Woods to Abbey Street in Wicklow Town. This project, managed by Coffey Ltd., commenced in June and is expected to conclude by the end of summer. It aims to improve the wastewater network’s capacity to support future community growth.
