Dublin Bus has confirmed a temporary diversion for route X1 from Friday 2 October to Tuesday 6 October inclusive. The changes are necessary due to ongoing roadworks in the Kilcoole area, which will disrupt normal service patterns for several days.
The diversion will impact both directions of travel. Buses heading towards Kilcoole will follow Sea Road before diverting via Holywell Avenue and the Holywell Avenue Roundabout, then returning to their usual route. For those travelling towards Hawkins Street, buses will leave Sea Road and rejoin the normal path after the diversion.
Stop 4307 on Sea Road Lane in Kilcoole will be closed during this period. Passengers are advised to use the nearest alternative stops: 4306 Beechdale or 4308 Beechdale, both located on Kilcoole’s Beechdale Road.
