Castlebar Mitchels and Garrymore are set to contest the 2026 Mayo GAA Senior Football Championship final after successfully navigating their respective semi-final encounters. Mitchels booked their first appearance in the decider in nine years following a hard-fought 1-16 to 0-14 victory over near neighbours Breaffy, laying the groundwork with a dominant first-half performance that featured a crucial goal from Joe Forry.
Meanwhile, the second semi-final proved to be a dramatic thriller as Garrymore edged past Belmullet 2-16 to 2-15 after extra-time in demanding conditions. A late surge spearheaded by veteran Trevor Nally and Mark Gibbons ensured Garrymore survived a resilient Belmullet comeback to reach their first county final since 1982.
