Aimee Mackin has once again proven her invaluable contribution to both club and county, delivering a stunning 1-12 tally as Shane O'Neill's secured the Armagh Ladies Football championship. Her earlier semi-final performance, where she scored 3-5, highlighted her status as a formidable forward.
These achievements mark a milestone for Shane O'Neill's, who only reached senior grade a decade ago without ever contesting a final. Mackin reflects on the journey, emphasising the highs, lows, and the collective spirit that has brought the team together, especially after years disrupted by injuries and players' commitments abroad.
Despite her own scoring feats, Mackin is quick to credit her attacking partners Sinéad McDonnell and Abbie McVerry, praising their seamless connection and shared dedication. This unity, nurtured through hard work with the county squad, has been pivotal as they prepare to face Knockbride in the forthcoming AIB Ulster Club Championship, signalling exciting times ahead for the club.
