Free clothes swap returns to Rua Red Tallaght

The much-loved “Swap ’Til Ye Drop” free clothes swap is returning to Rua Red in Tallaght, promising another evening of sustainable fashion and community spirit. Scheduled for Friday, 6th November 2026 from 5pm to 9pm, this event invites participants to bring good quality clothes they no longer wear and exchange them for new-to-them items, helping to reduce textile waste.
In addition to the clothes swap, attendees can benefit from the Repair Café, where skilled volunteers will assist in mending and patching damaged clothing, imparting practical repair skills to extend the life of favourite garments. There will also be a book swap, encouraging people to share and discover new reads, further supporting reuse and resourcefulness.
This initiative is proudly supported by South Dublin County Council and IPB Insurance under the LEAF 2026 fund, reflecting a shared commitment to a circular economy and environmental sustainability.
