Fire Safety Week highlights vital home precautions
Fire Safety Week took place from 12 to 18 October, with the theme "Know your Room, Know the Risk, Know the Person" aiming to raise public awareness about fire hazards in the home. The initiative sought to encourage individuals and families to identify potential risks within different rooms and consider the needs of those who may be more vulnerable in an emergency.

Carlow County Council supported the campaign by providing information and guidance from their offices located on Athy Road, Carlow (R93 E7R7). Their services include motor tax administration available Monday to Friday between 10.00am and 12.30pm, with general office hours from 9.15am to 4.30pm.

Residents and interested parties were encouraged to contact the council at 059 9170300 or visit their offices to learn more about fire safety precautions and other community services. The council continues to prioritise public safety and education to reduce fire-related incidents in the region.
