Fingal County Council is calling on local residents, community groups, businesses, and stakeholders to actively participate in shaping the future of their neighbourhoods through a comprehensive new consultation process. The upcoming initiative centres on the Local Community Safety Partnership survey, designed to gather vital feedback from those living and working across the region to inform practical solutions for neighbourhood wellbeing and security.
Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Tony Murphy, has strongly encouraged widespread participation, highlighting that grassroots knowledge and lived experience remain invaluable in building stronger, more connected communities. Echoing this sentiment, Director of Services for Operations Sinead Murphy emphasised that genuine collaboration and engagement will prove central to identifying emerging local concerns and ensuring that resident voices directly influence future council actions.
To facilitate direct discussions, two major public meetings will take place this month. The Fingal North session will be held on Thursday, 22 October, at the Grand Hotel in Malahide, covering areas such as Balbriggan, Howth Malahide, Rush Lusk, and Swords. Meanwhile, the Fingal West meeting will take place on Wednesday, 28 October, at the Crowne Plaza in Blanchardstown for residents of Blanchardstown, Mulhuddart, Castleknock, and Ongar. Both events will commence with networking and refreshments from 6.30pm ahead of the main programme at 7.15pm, with online survey links becoming available on the official website from 12 October.
