HSE Mid West has announced a major boost for local healthcare services with the arrival of Ms Clare Quigley as Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at University Hospital Limerick. This strategic appointment brings the total number of consultant ophthalmologists operating across the region to five, directly addressing the growing demand for specialised medical treatment.
Originally from Limerick, Ms Quigley brings a wealth of international experience having practised in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Her impressive clinical background includes prestigious fellowship training at the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough and the Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia, alongside previous consultant roles at the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital and Saint James's Hospital.
