The latest bathing water quality assessments have been completed for Claremont Beach, Portmarnock Beach, Rush North Beach, and Balbriggan Beach. Resample results confirmed that Claremont, Portmarnock, and Rush North Beaches all met the Excellent standard, prompting the removal of the Do Not Swim notice at Claremont and the Prior Warning at Rush North.
Despite these positive results, Portmarnock Beach will see a new Prior Warning notice issued later today as a precaution due to expected heavy rainfall on Thursday evening. Conversely, Balbriggan’s Front Strand water quality was classified as Poor, resulting in the replacement of its Prior Warning with a Do Not Swim notice.
These updates aim to safeguard public health and provide clear guidance for beachgoers. Fingal County Council advises monitoring official communications for the latest water safety information and to heed any posted notices when visiting local bathing spots.
