Irish startup powers hotels to maximise room revenue
Levels, a pioneering hotel revenue intelligence platform from Kilkenny, recently secured €100,000 in funding from Enterprise Ireland’s Pre-Seed Start Fund to support independent hotels in boosting profitability. Founded in July 2025 by actuary Shane Doherty and software engineer Micheál Dunne, the company leverages actuarial forecasting to optimise room pricing across the year and reduce reliance on costly online travel agency commissions.

The platform is already trusted by 20 Irish hotels, including the Armada Hotel, Parknasilla Resort & Spa, Fernhill Hotel & Estate, and Kinsale Hotel & Spa. Levels forecasts demand and recommends the ideal nightly rates, while its Guest Community offers targeted promotions with just a 5% commission, compared with the 15-25% typical of online agencies. Hotels also earn a 2.5% commission on subsequent bookings made through the Guest Community.

Having won multiple awards, including the South-East regional accolade at the 2026 National Enterprise Awards, Levels is preparing for its official launch at the River Court Hotel, Kilkenny, on 4 November. The team plans to accelerate expansion across Ireland and enter the UK market next year, actively recruiting for a Business Development Executive. Further details are available at levelsrevenue.com.
