Essential resurfacing on N55 at Killycannon next week
Vital road improvement works are scheduled on the N55 at Killycannon starting Monday, 9 November. These repairs will impact traffic flow with lane restrictions and possible short-term road closures to enhance safety and surface quality in County Cavan.
Cavan County Council has announced that emergency resurfacing will be carried out on the N55 at Killycannon from Monday, 9 November until Thursday, 12 November, operating daily between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Traffic management and access
During the works, one lane will remain open to traffic at all times, supported by traffic management measures to ensure safety. Additionally, the L6566 Killycannon Road may face brief closures while resurfacing occurs across the junction, with clearly signposted diversions provided when necessary.
