The WHO Regional Committee for Europe acts as the principal decision-making forum for the 53 countries within the WHO European Region, including all 27 EU Member States. In her role as President of the Council of the European Union, Minister Carroll MacNeill will deliver a statement on behalf of the EU Member States and participate in several bilateral meetings. She emphasised the importance of a well-funded, effective WHO to strengthen health systems, address emergencies, and reduce inequalities.
