Residents throughout Ireland are encouraged to verify and update their information on the electoral register using Voter.ie, the country’s latest digital registration platform now accessible via all local authorities.
Replacing the former CheckTheRegister.ie, Voter.ie offers an integrated national system for the first time, enabling all 31 local authorities to maintain a single, accurate electoral register. This modernisation reduces duplicate entries and simplifies address changes, improving overall data quality.
Users can register or update their details securely online by verifying their identity with MyGovID or PPSN. Although online methods are promoted, paper forms remain available for those who prefer traditional applications. More details and access to the service can be found at www.voter.ie.
