Ireland will proudly present its inaugural national pavilion at COP31, the UN Climate Change Conference scheduled for next month in Türkiye. This milestone coincides with Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union, positioning the country at the forefront of global climate negotiations alongside the European Commission.
The pavilion will serve as a vibrant hub showcasing Ireland’s and Europe's commitment to climate leadership, facilitating dialogue and partnership among negotiators, policymakers, and stakeholders. A comprehensive programme featuring talks, meetings, and events will underline Ireland’s dedication to the multilateral climate process, supported by a coalition of government departments, state agencies, environmental groups, and business entities.
Key sponsors include AIB, KPMG, Zurich Insurance Group, and Federated Hermes, reflecting a broad cross-sectoral alliance. Cultural elements such as an Irish music evening curated by RTÉ lyric fm and an art exhibition by Vivienne Roche will enrich the pavilion experience, celebrating the intersection of art, science, and climate awareness. Minister Darragh O’Brien emphasised the pavilion’s role as a platform for building alliances and showcasing Ireland’s climate achievements during this pivotal global gathering.
