The upcoming Teagasc National Dairy Conference is set for Wednesday, 25th November at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Little Island, County Cork, centred on the theme "Developing Resilient Dairy Farming Systems." This event aims to address the latest research and innovations shaping Ireland's dairy industry.

The conference will open with a session moderated by Dr. Grainne Hurley, featuring Professor Laurence Shalloo presenting on the resilience of Irish dairy farming. John Lancaster of StoneX will also provide insights into global dairy market trends, offering a comprehensive overview of external factors influencing the sector.

A second session, led by Dr. Deirdre Hennessy from University College Cork, will explore coping mechanisms for difficult farming years and strategies to embed contingency plans within Irish dairy systems. Contributions from experienced farmers John McAuliffe and Matt Pilkington, alongside Teagasc specialist Mark Treacy, will enrich discussions. Attendees can also participate in practical workshops in the afternoon, selecting from six options designed to enhance farm sustainability and profitability.
