Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Martin Heydon has confirmed the appointment of Neal Davies to the Board of the Irish National Stud. The decision was reached in consultation with Minister for Public Expenditure Jack Chambers following a competitive selection process managed by publicjobs.org.
Mr Davies brings over three decades of leadership experience across multinational firms, industry associations, and cultural bodies. A chartered director and prominent figure in the advertising sector, he previously served as chief executive of BBDO Dublin and chairs TBWA Ireland, alongside holding board positions with the Dublin International Film Festival.
Minister Heydon praised the incoming appointee's commercial acumen and background in brand development while expressing gratitude to outgoing director Dairine Walsh. Ms Walsh completed a decade of service on the board, which included a stint as interim chair during the previous year.
