Commuters travelling on Dublin Bus Route 7a will experience temporary diversions due to ongoing roadworks taking place from Friday 25 September until Friday 2 October 2026. Services heading towards Mountjoy Square will operate as normal until Monkstown Road, before diverting via Temple Road to rejoin the standard schedule. Meanwhile, buses travelling in the direction of Loughlinstown will maintain their usual route without any disruption.
During this temporary arrangement, two specific stops will not be in use: stop 3079 on Newtown Avenue and stop 3080 at St John's Church in Blackrock. Passengers are advised to make their way to alternative nearby locations, specifically stop 3077 at Montpellier Manor in Monkstown or stop 3081 on Patrick's Row in Blackrock, to catch their service.
