The National Transport Authority (NTA), collaborating with Bus Éireann, is set to enhance the 105X bus route, extending its service between Ratoath and the M3 Parkway Park & Ride from 1 November 2026.
This upgrade introduces new departure times: a 06:45 service from Ratoath to M3 Parkway and a 19:15 return journey. The route will now utilise the M3 motorway to deliver quicker and more reliable travel, although several stops — including Bullstown, Newtown Commons, and Kilshane Cross — will no longer be served by the 105X. Passengers can still access these stops via the 103 route.
John Nott, Head of Public Transport Services Planning at the NTA, highlighted the benefits, stating that the revised timetable enhances public transport options for Ratoath residents and improves access to rail services through M3 Parkway Park & Ride. He emphasised that these developments support sustainable travel and respond to growing commuter demand in the area.
