Dublin Bus has announced that a series of diversions will be implemented across routes 37, 39, 39a, and 44 on Thursday, 1 October 2026. These changes are required due to the temporary closure of Molesworth Street, which will be inaccessible to public transport during the scheduled afternoon period.
For passengers travelling towards Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, Ongar, or DCU, buses will follow their standard path until reaching St. Stephen's Green. From there, services will be redirected via Kildare Street before resuming their usual course. It is important to note that these diversions are only in effect from 11.00hrs to 16.00hrs, and services will return to their normal operating patterns once the road reopens.
There will be no impact on services travelling in the opposite direction towards Wilton Terrace, Burlington Road, UCD Belfield, or Enniskerry, as these buses will continue to operate along their normal routes throughout the day. Passengers are encouraged to check the official Dublin Bus website for further updates or to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid potential delays during this period.
