Grace Park Road to undergo major repairs
Westmeath County Council has announced that significant structural rehabilitation works will soon commence on Grace Park Road, designated L-4009, as part of the Athlone Moate Municipal District Roads Programme. These improvements involve the removal and replacement of the road pavement's surface and base layers to enhance durability and safety.

The project is scheduled to begin on Tuesday 27 October and continue nightly through Friday 30 October, with work taking place between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am to minimise disruption during peak hours. Breedon Ltd has been contracted to carry out the works, which are expected to last four nights, subject to weather conditions and supply chain factors.

Traffic management plans have been put in place to guide road users during these temporary lane closures. Westmeath County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and encourages motorists to plan accordingly. Detailed information including location maps and traffic arrangements are available through official council channels.
