Munster and Ulster finals set in camogie club championships
The AIB Munster Senior Camogie Club Championship final will once again feature a Cork versus Waterford rivalry, with St Finbarr’s set to face Gailltír for the second year running. St Finbarr’s overcame a resilient Thurles Sarsfields side on Sunday, winning 1-17 to 1-10 despite trailing by four points at half-time, thanks largely to a goal from Laura Loughnane. However, the Togher club rallied in the second half with Ella Wigginton Barrett scoring a vital goal and Sorcha McCartan contributing eight points to secure victory.

In the other Munster semi-final, Gailltír edged past Clanmaurice 2-13 to 1-8, propelled by 1-3 from Annie Fitzgerald. Despite a late red card, Gailltír maintained their lead and now aim to surpass the achievement of fellow Waterford club De La Salle, who lost to St Finbarr’s in last year’s final.

Ulster’s senior final will see Clonduff take on Dunloy after the Down club defeated Swatragh 1-11 to 0-10, with Beth Fitzpatrick’s 1-1 proving instrumental. In junior competitions, Crosserlough and Ballinderry have advanced to the Ulster Junior A final, while Tullysaran claimed the Junior B championship with a comprehensive win over Ballinagh. Elsewhere, Leinster’s intermediate and junior championships progressed with several quarter-final and semi-final victories, and Tara Camogie were crowned All-Britain Senior champions following their win over Tomás MacCurtain’s in Ruislip.
