Four Roads clinch thrilling Roscommon SHC final
Four Roads triumphed over St. Dominic’s in a gripping Kepak Roscommon Senior Hurling Championship final at Dr. Hyde Park, thanks to a decisive injury-time point from substitute Oisín Finneran. This dramatic score sealed a 1-14 to 2-10 victory, denying St. Dominic’s a first title in 27 years and securing Four Roads’ fifth consecutive championship and their 39th overall.

The contest was influenced by a strong breeze blowing towards the scoreboard end, which shaped the flow of the game. Four Roads enjoyed the wind advantage in the first half, with Conor Morris contributing five points from a mix of frees, ’65s, and play. Despite trailing 0-10 to 0-04 at halftime, St. Dominic’s goalkeeper Mark Miley made a crucial penalty save just before the break, keeping his side’s hopes alive.

In the second half, St. Dominic’s mounted a comeback with a goal from Naos Connaughton and several points that put them ahead. However, a red card for full-back Michael Feeley hampered their momentum. Four Roads manager Micheál Kelly’s substitutions proved decisive as David Mannion scored a late goal to level the game, followed by Finneran’s winning point deep into injury time. The victory ensured Four Roads retained the coveted Mickey Cunniffe Cup once again.
