Building the future of Olympic coaching excellence
In recent weeks, two pivotal coaching development programmes have reached their conclusion, marking a significant step forward in nurturing coaching talent within the Olympic and Paralympic systems. These initiatives have equipped participants with vital skills, boosted confidence, and fostered valuable networks, reinforcing Britain’s leadership in high-performance sport.

The fourth cycle of the Supporting Coaching in High Performance Sport (SCiHPS) programme closed alongside the Athlete to Coach programme, both serving as cornerstones of the 2032 High Performance System Coaching Strategy. This strategy aims to cultivate a supportive and thriving environment where coaches are highly valued and pathways for emerging talent are strengthened.

Participants from both programmes now move ahead with enhanced experience and clarity about their coaching futures. The knowledge and connections developed will continue to enrich coaching frameworks as the community prepares for the challenges and opportunities of LA 2028, Paris 2030, and beyond.
