The arrest and subsequent confiscation of an estimated €162,000 worth of cocaine were carried out as part of Operation Tara, an ongoing nationwide initiative designed to disrupt drug trafficking networks.
The accused individual will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning at approximately 10.30am to face charges related to the operation. An Garda Síochána have confirmed that their inquiries into the wider network remain active and ongoing as investigators analyse the recovered evidence.
Authorities have encouraged anyone with relevant information concerning illicit drug activity in their local communities to contact their local Garda station or the confidential telephone line. Further updates regarding the court proceedings will be made available through official channels as the legal process unfolds.
