A significant drugs operation unfolded in Finglas, Dublin 11, on Friday 25th September 2026 when the Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT) intercepted a substantial cannabis consignment. During the operation, Gardaí confiscated around 46.2 kilograms of suspected cannabis, subsequently arresting a male in his 30s under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. The suspect remains in custody within the Dublin Metropolitan Region as inquiries progress.
