Uisce Éireann has finalised a crucial €5 million upgrade to the wastewater infrastructure in Cookstown, Tallaght, designed to increase network capacity and support future residential and economic expansion. This investment enhances the resilience and efficiency of essential wastewater services, while providing the foundation for the construction of up to 1,600 new homes in the area.

The upgrade involved installing 650 metres of new sewer pipeline along Belgard Road and Airton Road, with full road reinstatement scheduled for completion in the coming weeks. GMC Utilities Group Ltd was responsible for delivering the works on behalf of Uisce Éireann.
