Gardaí have launched an appeal for information following a significant road traffic collision that took place on the N13 at Correnagh, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. The incident, which involved a car and a motorcycle, occurred at approximately 5.20pm on Wednesday, 7th October 2026.
The male motorcyclist, aged in his 50s, was transported to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries. The driver of the car, a woman in her 60s, was also taken to the same facility; her injuries are currently understood to be non-life-threatening. The stretch of the N13 remained closed to facilitate a technical examination of the scene, with local diversions managed by authorities.
Investigators are requesting that any witnesses who were in the vicinity of Correnagh between 4.30pm and 5.30pm on Wednesday come forward. Furthermore, motorists who possess dash-cam or other camera footage from the timeframe are encouraged to provide this evidence to the authorities.
