A recall has been issued for specific batches of Lidl's Crownfield Müsli-Riegel bars after it was discovered that the ingredients were not labelled in English, raising serious allergen concerns. The batches identified include Crownfield Müsli-Riegel Schoko (batch 203, expiry 20 July 2027) containing peanut, milk, and cereals with gluten, and Crownfield Müsli-Riegel Schoko-Banane (batch 206, expiry 24 July 2027) containing milk and gluten cereals.
There is a risk of unintentional presence of other allergens such as rye, a variety of nuts including hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts, cashew nuts, Brazil nuts, pecan nuts, pistachios, and macadamia nuts, as well as soya, sesame, mustard, and lupins. These undeclared allergens mean the products could be unsafe for individuals with allergies or intolerances to these substances.
Consumers who suffer from allergies to any of these ingredients are strongly advised not to consume the affected products. Lidl is actively recalling these batches to prevent any potential health hazards. Further details and updates are available on official Lidl and Food Safety Authority of Ireland websites.
