A man in his 30s was charged on Monday 26 October 2026 in connection with the murder investigation following the discovery of an adult male's body in Ballyellis, Mallow, Co. Cork on Thursday 15 October 2026.
He appeared before a special sitting of Fermoy District Court at 2:30pm the same day. Meanwhile, a woman in her 40s who was arrested as part of the inquiry has since been released from custody.
A file in relation to the woman’s involvement is currently being prepared for submission to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). An Garda Síochána continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
