Civil registration services resume at Wexford's Ely Hospital
The Health Service Executive has confirmed that the Civil Registration Service offices at Ely Hospital in Ferrybank, Wexford, are fully operational once more. The facility, which provides vital documentation services, has returned to its standard five-day weekly schedule following a period of closure necessitated by significant water damage to the building's ground floor that occurred in mid-July.

Throughout the restoration period, the HSE maintained continuity of service by directing the public to alternative locations in Enniscorthy, New Ross, and Waterford. While these registration services were relocated, the HSE emphasised that day procedures and outpatient appointments at Ely Hospital remained unaffected and continued as scheduled. The organisation has expressed its gratitude to the public for their patience and cooperation while these remedial works were completed.

Members of the public seeking to register births, deaths, or marriages are encouraged to utilise the official HSE website to book appointments at their preferred time. Contact can be maintained via telephone at (053) 919 8260 or by emailing [email protected]. Further guidance regarding marriage registration requirements and certificate procurement is available through the official HSE portal.
