Liam Rochford, the distinguished recipient of the 2025 Pasture Progress Awards, is set to welcome fellow farmers to his Cleariestown dairy operation in County Wexford on Tuesday, 29th September at 11am. Recognised for his exceptional work under the Teagasc Grass10 programme, Liam manages a herd of 150 cows with an impressive average Economic Breeding Index of €181. This upcoming farm walk serves as a unique platform to observe his high-performing system firsthand and gain insights into the methodologies that earned him national acclaim.
Central to the discussion will be the remarkable growth in milk solids, which climbed from 424kg per cow in 2024 to 500kg per cow in 2025.
