The four Dublin local authorities have initiated a pre-market consultation to engage with social enterprises, sheltered employment programmes, and similar bodies. This collaborative effort seeks to identify active organisations, understand the specific goods and services they offer, and explore how public procurement can better enhance social value for the community.
The initiative, led by the Dublin Regional Procurement Group, emphasises the critical role these enterprises play in creating employment and supporting disadvantaged groups. It is explicitly noted that this is an information-gathering exercise rather than a competitive tender, ensuring that participation will not influence any future procurement outcomes but will instead inform broader strategic engagement with the sector.
Organisations wishing to participate can complete the online response form by 12 noon on Monday, 23 November 2026. Any queries regarding the process must be submitted through eTenders by 5 pm on Monday, 16 November 2026. Further details are available on the European Dynamics PMC workspace, with the project jointly undertaken by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, Dublin City, Fingal, and South Dublin County Councils.
