Dublin councils seek input from social enterprises
The four local authorities within Dublin have launched a pre-market consultation inviting social enterprises, sheltered employment programmes, and similar organisations to share their interest in forthcoming public procurement opportunities.

This consultation seeks to identify the range of social enterprises active in the market, gain insight into the goods and services they offer, and explore ways to enhance social value via public procurement. Additionally, it will assist in creating a directory of organisations keen to tender for future contracts.

The initiative, led by the Dublin Regional Procurement Group (DRPG) consisting of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Dublin City Council, Fingal County Council, and South Dublin County Council, recognises the vital role social enterprises play in employment creation and community support. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their responses online by 12 noon on Monday, 23 November 2026, with any queries directed through eTenders by 5pm on Monday, 16 November 2026.
