The Dublin Gospel Choir is preparing to deliver an uplifting performance at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Seán MacDermott Street this Friday, 18 September. As part of the annual Culture Night festivities, this free concert celebrates the group's thirty-year journey from a local school ensemble to a celebrated national act that has graced the stages of Croke Park and Electric Picnic.
Lord Mayor of Dublin Daryl Barron has expressed his enthusiasm for the event, highlighting how such gatherings foster community connection and celebrate the city's diverse creative landscape. Building on the success of previous years, including last year's collaboration with cellist Patrick Dexter, this performance is expected to draw significant crowds from across the capital, with doors opening at 6.30pm for an 7pm start.
