The GAA, in collaboration with the LGFA and Camogie Associations, has announced a series of specialised concussion education workshops designed for their membership. These interactive sessions are scheduled to take place across each province throughout October and November, offering a vital opportunity for club members to enhance their understanding of player welfare without incurring any costs.
Building upon the updated Concussion Management Guidelines published last year, these workshops aim to empower non-medical volunteers. Attendees will learn to identify the primary signs and symptoms of concussion while gaining a comprehensive overview of the current principles regarding treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term management of head injuries within the sport.
Interested members are encouraged to secure their place by registering through the official Microsoft form provided by the associations. Prospective participants are kindly asked to confirm their attendance only if they are certain they can be present in person. Further resources and detailed documentation regarding concussion protocols are available on the official GAA learning portal.
