University Hospital Kerry has formally acknowledged the publication of a recent Health Information and Quality Authority inspection report, which followed an evaluation carried out in February 2026. In response to the findings, the facility initiated an extensive programme of improvement designed to bolster patient care, clinical governance, safety standards, and overall operational performance across the health campus.
Management noted that a significant portion of the recommended corrective actions have already been successfully completed or are currently well advanced. Hospital teams are continuing to work collaboratively with regulatory bodies, community partners, and regional healthcare services to embed lasting changes and maintain high standards of compassionate medical attention for every attending patient.
Speaking on the ongoing developments, HSE South West Interim Head of Service Olivia O'Rahilly praised the dedication shown by healthcare personnel since the initial visit.
