Three men charged following Tallaght criminal activity operation

Gardaí from the Tallaght Community Engagement and Serious Crime units conducted a targeted operation on Saturday, 19th September, aimed at curbing a recent spate of burglaries and vehicle thefts in the locality. During proactive patrols in the Cloonmore Park area, officers identified a suspect attempting to abandon a vehicle and flee the scene on foot. This individual, a man in his 40s, was promptly detained.
Following this initial arrest, officers apprehended two additional men, aged in their 20s and 40s, in connection with the same investigation. All three suspects were held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda station within the Dublin Metropolitan Region as inquiries into their activities continued throughout the weekend.
The three men have since been charged with a variety of offences related to the incidents. They are due to appear before a sitting of the Tallaght District Court this morning, Monday, 21st September, at 10:30am. Gardaí have confirmed that the investigation remains active and ongoing, with further updates expected to be provided as the legal process unfolds.
