Major cocaine haul worth over €1.7 million seized
A major drug seizure took place today in Dublin, with law enforcement officers confiscating approximately 17.35 kilograms of suspected cocaine. The operation was intelligence-led and involved a coordinated effort between Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), and the Dublin North Central Divisional Drugs Unit.

The estimated street value of the seized substances exceeds €1.7 million. Two male suspects, aged in their 30s and 50s, were arrested at the scene. They are currently being held at a Garda Station in Dublin under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Authorities have confirmed that investigations remain ongoing as they work to dismantle the supply network associated with this seizure. The collaboration between multiple agencies highlights the continued commitment to tackling organised crime and drug trafficking in the capital.
