Shinka, a Dublin-based adtech company specialising in mediation technology for video advertising, has closed a €1.9 million seed round led by Irish angel investors alongside backing from Enterprise Ireland. The funding will enable Shinka to grow its team, deepen platform integrations, and pursue expansion into the US and Asia-Pacific regions.
Founded in 2024 by Kieran Greene, who previously gained seven years of experience at Google, Shinka addresses a significant gap in the digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising sector. While DOOH largely relies on legacy systems and manual bookings, Shinka’s real-time auction mediation layer automates ad allocation, maximising revenue for media owners and offering advertisers transparent, real-time reporting.
Crowley Millar provided legal counsel throughout the funding process, supporting Shinka’s strategic growth. The platform already counts clients such as Gas Station TV (GSTV) and exemplifies Enterprise Ireland’s commitment to supporting founder-led start-ups with global ambitions from inception. This latest investment marks a pivotal moment in Shinka’s development, positioning it at the forefront of the evolving DOOH and Connected TV advertising landscape.
